STUDI RANCANGAN INSTALASI PENGOLAHAN AIR LIMBAH TAMBAK INTENSIF UDANG VANNAMEI KOTA PROBOLINGGO

Abstract


Pesatnya perkembangan industri tambak di indonesia sejak 1990, diiringi dengan berkurangnya lahan bakau. Hal ini memicu terjadinya kerusakan lingkungan akibat polusi kegiatan tambak. Air limbah buangan tambak terbukti mengandung bahan pencemar sisa pakan, mikroorganisme dan bibit penyakit. Metode yang akan digunakan dalam perencanaan unit pengolahan limbah  tambak udang adalah metode biofilter secara anaerobik dan aerobik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kualitas air limbah tambak sebagai dasar penentuan rancangan instalasi pengolahan air limbah pada Tambak udang, sehingga diharapkan air limbah yang akan dikembalikan menuju badan perairan sesuai dengan baku mutu, dan nantinya akan mengurangi pencemaran di Pantai Mayangan, Kota Probolinggo. Sebelum melewati tahapan proses pengolahan limbah, kandungan BOD, TSS, fosfat, H2S dan amonia pada sampel air tidak memenuhi baku mutu limbah tambak udang. Hasil dari pengolahan limbah ini terbukti sangat efektif. Didapatkan nilai-nilai kandungan polutan air limbah, dapat berkurang secara signifikan. Contohnya parameter BOD pada limbah. Sebelumnya didapati kandungan BOD pada sampel limbah air tambak sebesar 571,72 miligram per liter sampel. Nilai ini melebihi ambang baku mutu yang ditetapkan yaitu kurang atau sama dengan 45 miligram per liter air limbah. Setelah melewati tahapan pengolahan air limbah, dihasilkan nilai BOD yang rendah dan memenuhi kriteria, sebesar 20,582 mg/l.

Pond wastewater is proven to contain contaminants left over from feed, microorganisms and disease germs. The method to be used in planning the shrimp pond waste treatment unit is an anaerobic and aerobic biofilter method. The purpose of this study is to determine the quality of pond wastewater as a basis for determining the design of wastewater treatment plants in shrimp ponds, so that it is expected that wastewater will be returned to the water body in accordance with quality standards, and will later reduce pollution in Mayangan Beach, Probolinggo City. Before going through the stages of the waste treatment process, the content of BOD, TSS, phosphate, H2S and ammonia in water samples does not meet the quality standards of shrimp pond waste. The results of this waste treatment have proven to be very effective. Obtained values ​​of wastewater pollutant content, can be reduced significantly. For example BOD parameters in waste. Previously found BOD content in pond water waste samples worth 571.72 milligrams per liter of sample. This value exceeds the established quality standard that is less or equal to 45 milligrams per liter of wastewater. After passing through the wastewater treatment stage, a low BOD value is produced and fulfills the criteria, valued at 20,582 mg/l.
